I recently finished a 2 foot long adulʼeix̱ ax̱áa (dance paddle) carved from laax̱ (western red-cedar). I’ve always wanted to do a piece with red primary formline but I’m also very happy with how the black primary turned out on the “back” of the ax̱áa.

I also completed a small 6”x6”x5” láḵt (bentwood box) with shallow relief carving. The bottom and lid are made from laax̱, and the sides are a single piece of x̱áay (yellow-cedar). I made this box in a class taught by Wayne Price in 2019, and it sat on my bookshelf until this fall when I decided to finally paint and carve a design on it. The inlay is a plastic/gunx̱aa (abalone) bead from a set I was given, and the paints are acrylic.

Both are currently available for sale, contact me for pricing.
